The TradeRES project developed and tested innovative electricity market designs to meet society’s needs of a (near) 100% renewable power system. The market design was tested using sophisticated models and simulation tools, for scenarios constructed to reproduce real-world characteristics of local, national and regional electricity markets.
At this webinar, the outcomes of TradeRES project on future electricity market design will be presented. Topics are: Future security of supply and system adequacy; Do we need capacity mechanisms? vRES support and de-risking investment; Reform of short-term markets and ancillary services; The role of local markets and energy communities and the pan-European market perspective.
