EERA JP Energy Systems Integration Conference 2026

Join us for this year’s EERA Energy Systems Integration Conference in Brussels on 25 November 2026, where we will explore “Local Energy Systems – the Role of Consumers, Prosumers and Energy Communities.”

Held at TownHall Brussels from 10:00 to 17:15, the event will begin by exploring the role of consumers, prosumers and energy communities, with insights from Norway and Austria, as well as economic perspectives on energy communities. We will then look at how proactive local energy use can work in practice, drawing on insights from the ELEXIA project.

In the afternoon, the focus will shift to the interplay between local energy systems and the central grid, addressing flexibility and collaboration with Distribution System Operators (DSOs). The day will conclude with a roundtable on resilience and the need for energy systems integration, combining short presentations with an
interactive discussion. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with experts, exchange perspectives and contribute to discussions shaping the future of integrated energy systems across Europe and beyond.

A detailed agenda will be shared shortly.

In addition, we will host the EERA JP ESI Workshop on Supporting technology development & integration from an energy-systems integration perspective on 24 November, one day before the Fall Conference, providing PhD candidates and junior researchers with an opportunity to present and discuss their work.
